Peanut’s Law Acknowledgment

Transparency is part of the care we provide at Lake Anna Veterinary Hospital. Before leaving a pet in our care, we want to make sure you have a complete and honest picture of our staffing and monitoring practices. Please review the information below and complete the acknowledgment form.

Our Hours of Care Disclosure

The form below outlines our facility hours, the periods when continuous medical care is not available, and your options as a pet owner if your animal requires around-the-clock monitoring. Please read it carefully before signing.

Our facility does not provide continuous, 24-hour on-site medical care. No staff is routinely on the premises outside the hours listed above—including nights after closing, weekends, holidays, and other times when the hospital is closed.
Hospitalized patients are not continuously monitored when the facility is closed. Staff may come in periodically to provide treatments, but patients are not under constant observation during unstaffed hours.

If your pet requires overnight or intensive care monitoring beyond our staffed hours, we will recommend transfer to a 24-hour emergency facility, provide you with a list of options, and assist in arranging that transfer. A list of local emergency facilities is available on our emergency resources page.
