Veterinary Assistant
I grew up in upstate New York and at the age of 7, began to ride horses, from there I knew I wanted to work in veterinary medicine and loved working with animals. I have continued my riding till this day. Along the way, I managed some equine facilities, worked in a veterinary pathology lab, worked in small animal practice, and started to go to school for my LVT. I worked for many years with horses rehabbing them from injuries and surgeries as well. In 2018, I decided to make the move with my horse and dog to Virginia, where I continued to manage a few more equine facilities and do medical care within the horse world. After a year of being in Virginia, I decided I wanted to go back to small animals to learn more and continue on with my schooling to finish my LVT and earn my certificate in equine massage. I love working with horses as well as small animals, and most of my own animals are rescues. Growing up with horses has shaped me to be the person I am today. In my spare time, most can find me at the barn spending time with my horse, hiking with my dogs, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.
